RIO PADICE – GRAN BAZAR – REDRUM
It’s time to present the next dancefloors gems and to introduce Rio Padice to the new Mutekki artist roster. Having stepped into the spotlight with just a handful of releases on Minisketch and primarily Mosaik Musik, which gained immediate support of Richie Hawtin, Anderson Noise and Jeff Samuel, Italy’s rising star shows up with two of his most danceable tracks to date to debut on Oliver Klein’s label. Both tracks have an affinity to repetitive, old school influenced Techno – “Gran Bazar” is a predestined peaktime tool and built around an ever rising, detroitish synth line, whereas the bass-heavy “Redrum @ Morgue Street” takes things deeper and groovy. Remix duties go to Boris Werner, one of the brightest stars of the Dutch Tech House scene, who has just released his highly acclaimed “No Day Like Monday” double-EP on Remote Area and who has impressively proven his remix abilities lately with his remix for Matthias Tanzman’s “Keep On” on Moon Harbour. His remix turns “Gran Bazar” into a mighty, Chicago infected funk monster.
