Dave Robertson & Jon Gurd - Escape Route / Dual

The UK based production team Dave Robertson & Jon Gurd is one of today’s hottest musical happenings when it comes to timeless pounding grooves somewhere between twisted techno and driving house music. Both having made themselves a name on solo paths in the UK club scene and abroad already, the boys joined forces in 2005. So far they have released on labels such as Cr2, Reveal and mainly Jon’s very own and constantly rising label Killawatt, with their productions being heavily being supported by the world’s DJ elite including Carl Cox, Dubfire, Laurent Garnier, Steve Lawler, Nic Fanciulli to name just a very few. Their most celebrated moment undoubtedly was the heavily BBC Radio1 supported “The Rendition“, but also their more stripped-down and groove based “Series of Loops Vol.1“ have been highlights on the world´s greatest floors.
Their debut on Oliver Klein’s Mutekki imprint goes in a similar vein. Both electrifying with nothing but super effective grooves and a state-of-the-art sound design, “Escape Route“ aims at dark, strobe-light filled techno floors, while “Dual“ approaches things in a more housy way.
