Schizophrenia can lead to insanity. Every man needs a toy, every label group a playground. So why not found a label with the conceptional challenge to examine a topic from two contrary angles and finally unite these two on one sound carrier thats what the crew of Mutekki Media, home of the labels Mutekki and Electribe, came up with to light up the often monotonous everyday life of releases with an unconventional label concept named PLUSMINUS Recordings.

The PLUS-Site, functionally and catchy, features club music with a large crossover potential, which also doesnŽt fear the use of hooklines and song structures. The first release and label premiere is dedicated to the italian Fedex, who is a well known Tech-House producer and DJ in his home country, with various releases on the first Italian digital label LDU Records. His first vinyl release is a full-vocal electro-house track, which impresses with its 80s applications, his catchy electro bassline and punching electro beats as well as its infatuating female vocals.

The MINUS-site comes up with a dubby interpretation by Jussi-Pekka. Thanks to successful productions for Audiomatique, Poker Flat, Dessous and Morris Audio as well as this years foundation of his own label Frozen North Recordings, our currently favourite Finn managed to catapult himself way up into the first row of scandinavian producers. On Plusminus he remixes in the notorious Jussi-Pekka-Style, with all sorts of technoid drum- as well as surprising jazz-elements. What comes out is a clubby Tech-House-Track with deephouse-glimmer, which is not untypical for him.

Due to a very limited CDR promotion, Plusminus 1 has already gained the support of big names such as man-of-the-moment James Holden, as well as Anthony Pappa and Steve Lawler. So well see where else schizophrenia will lead us to
