The „X.L.R.8.R. EP”, which was played by jocks such as Slam, Laurent Garnier, Loco Dice, Funk d’Void, Thomas Schumacher, Huntemann, Martin Eyerer, Oliver Klein, Anthony Pappa or Mijk van Dijk, Marc O’Tool already showed his affinity towards a more Techhouse direction – with “Pink Is The New Black / Dancie Rampage” he took even more supporters of his more reduced production style by storm. Parallel to this “Let It Go”, a vocal-dominated breakbeat-track of his first album “Tao”, has been discovered by the Greek pop radio, which finally resulted in an exclusive licensing. “Minority Resistance” – the a-side of his new release, a minimal-moover with a certain progressive touch, brings the necessary portion of darkness to the dancefloor, whereas the hypnotic pendant “Minority Existence” with its 303-bassline screws into every convolution of the brain. Barely other producers are such highly linked to the label and no other artist meets the Electribe-standard such as the global player from Essen, Marc O’Tool, does. Techhouse with a strong crossover-appeal, exciting and adult, contemporary but although full of personality, that’s the sound of Electribe. With “Minority Resistance / Minority Existence”, in our eyes (and ears) the most personal Marc O’Tool release to date, he once again delivers a prime example.
