Man ahnt es nicht, aber ausgerechnet bei dieser CD fragt man sich: Was ist denn die Definition von „Loop"? Oder kurz: Was er­wartet mich hier? Die Rückseite erklärt's: 1.000 Loops aus diversen Tanzflurstilen sol­len professionelles Flair in unsere Produk­tionen bringen.Im Gegensatz zum Formatwahn auf DVD hat man sich bei Mutekki wie immer für 16-Bit-WAVs auf CD entschieden. Außer den Dance-Loops mit 138 BPM kommen alle mit Tempo 127 aus und sind In Ordner un­terteilt. So gibt es Hl-Hat-Loops, Add-ons, mit denen man eigene Grooves veredeln kann (z. B. mit seltsam elektronischer Zerr-Per-cussion), Percussive Loops und die Stile Breakbeat, Dance, Electro House, House, Minimal, Straight und Tech House. Die Files sind dann leider nur noch durchnummeriert, was die Übersicht schmälert. Und überhaupt wird hier stark an die Eigeninitiative des An­wenders appelliert: Die Grooves wirken zwar stilecht und machen untenherum den nöti­gen Dancefloor-Dampf, kommen aber nur zweitaktlg und betont transparent und un­aufgeregt daher. Zumindest aber hat man ge­legentlich sich steigernde Loops zusammen­gestellt. So gehören z. B. in der Kategorie „Dance" die ersten acht Loops offenbar zu­sammen, mal mit, mal ohne Hi-Hats, Kick oder mit Snare-Roll. Spätestens hier ver­misse ich eine eindeutige Markierung im Da­teinamen.Insgesamt heißt es also: selberschnlppeln und verwursten. Erzieherisch betrachtet kein schlechtes Konzept. Ungewohnt ist es aber für den Fast-Food-verwöhnten Eleven alle­mal. Authentisch und groovig geht es hier zwar zu, aber konzeptionell könnte Mutekki dem Workflow eines Sequenzernutzers etwas mehr entgegenkommen und die Dateien sinn­voll strukturieren. Wie fast immer bei Mu­tekki wird das durch gute Patterns wieder wett gemacht. Autor: Christian Baum
