raveline 02/04 - record of the month

mutekki finally sees the third release by its promising paul nord - project. after the first output "dog", which has been licensed to eukatech´s sublabel turtle traxx, it was "hedgehog" which mainly introduced paul nord to an international audience. every once in a while you still hear someone playing the two year old original as well as the incredible and heavily supported saeed & palash remix, which has been licensed to uk´s maelstrom rec., and which has also been included by tom stephan on his "warmin´ up firin´ off" mix-cd for ministry magazine. it´s now time to continue the groovy animal show with two floating pieces of dance - "prussian carp", a chord-driven tech house monster with a deep but energetic, rolling bassline, minimal but extremely crowd pleasing and includable in almost every situation of the night. and on the flip the tension loaded, old school influenced "pike-perch", which just goes straight on and on and doesn´t let loose until the last sequence is over ...
